Electrical Technology is a field that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. Now it covers a range of sub-topics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications. The department of Electrical Technology has been playing a vital role in producing Technologists of highest caliber ever since it was established in the year 1962. First batch was admitted with capicity of 25 students that is now upto 110 students with the commencement of 2nd Shift. The infrastructure and lab. facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students to learn and innovate.
